Riley Howard, 7 lbs., 8 oz., and 20 inches long, was the first baby of the year born at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center.
Proud parents Amanda and Jeff Howard of Hendersonville welcomed their healthy baby girl at 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 1 in The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville. She was delivered by OB/GYN William Nason, MD, and received pediatric care from pediatrician Denise Stuart, MD.
"Welcoming babies into the world is one of the greatest joys of working in maternity services," said Jan Alexander, director of women's services at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. "There is an extra sense of excitement and promise that comes with the delivery of the first baby of the New Year. The TriStar Hendersonville team is overjoyed to be a part of this family's special day."
TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center delivers more than 1,000 babies annually.
