Tristar Hendersonville Medical Center is proud to be launching the first HCA Healthcare sponsored residency program in Nashville, TN beginning this July. As the Nashville metro population grows, the need for healthcare services grows along with it. HCA Healthcare is committed to providing nationally accredited, state-of-the-art medical training to the future physicians of Nashville and beyond.

With more than 50 teaching hospitals in 15 states, primarily in regions with a deficit of physician training programs, HCA healthcare is helping to address a significant physician workforce issue in the United States.

"Our growth in clinical and medical education reflects our commitment to use our scale and expertise to meet our needs and those of the communities we serve"

Sam Hazen
CEO of HCA Healthcare

Each of our programs has made a commitment to scholarly activity, meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Last year, residents and fellows across our health system completed more than 2,400 research activities that became poster presentations, journal publications or clinical trials.

Our programs are structured in a way that allows for trainees to have a work/life balance that is critical to maintaining overall wellness. Residents and fellows are encouraged to work closely with one another in a way that creates a strong community of caring for patients and each other.

"We pride ourselves on creating programs that celebrate teamwork and collaboration"

Dr. Michael Cuffe
President of HCA Healthcare’s Physician Services Group

Our mission at HCA Healthcare is "Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life." We hope you will consider completing your medical training with us and joining in this effort.
